About Therapy
Sometimes the hardest thing is noticing what you’re carrying – whether it’s recent or something that’s been with you for a long time. You might not fully understand it yet, or be able to put it into words, but something brought you here and that matters. You don’t need to have a clear story or a neatly defined problem. We can begin with whatever feels most present for you.
Taking that first step can feel daunting, and you’re welcome to get in touch if you’d like to ask any questions before deciding whether to work together.
🌿 Working Together
∼∼ a little about me
🌿 What You Can Expect
Most of us are much more comfortable talking about other people than talking about ourselves. I’m no different. So, rather than giving you a long list of who I am, I’ll tell you a little about what brought me to counselling and what matters to me in my work.
There was a time when I really needed some extra psychological support, so I sought counselling myself. It was a meaningful experience and one of the reasons I decided to train as a counsellor — to offer others the kind of support and empathic understanding that I had received.
I’m Scottish, based in London, and spent 17 years living in France. I also offer counselling in French.
Sessions are relaxed, collaborative and I work at your capacity and comfort.
We’ll begin with whatever feels most present — there’s no right or wrong place to start.
My role is to listen closely, reflect carefully and support you as you make sense of things and find your way forward.

🌿 Experience and Approach
I’ve worked with clients since 2015, initially in a student capacity and set up my private practice in 2019. Since then, I’ve supported adults and couples through a wide range of experiences including grief and loss, anxiety and stress, health anxiety, work-related difficulties, life transitions and relationship difficulties.
Alongside my private practice, I worked as a bereavement counsellor at a London hospice, initially as a student counsellor and then as a volunteer counsellor. I also worked in low-cost community counselling, which gave me the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.
My previous career in high-pressure professional environments has also given me firsthand insight into how work, pressure and change can affect our wellbeing, relationships and sense of ourselves.
I continue to develop my practice through ongoing training in areas including mindfulness, emotional regulation, trauma-informed approaches and couples therapy. I have also trained in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, although my work remains grounded in a person-centred approach.
For me, continuing professional development is about continuing to learn and bringing what is useful into my work, rather than following one particular formula. Every person and every relationship is different, and I believe it’s important to keep learning, stay curious and keep pace with emerging research and developments in the field.
